CGC & Skybound premiere The Walking Dead art labels at C2E2!


Sarasota, FL  April 6, 2017  CGC® (Certified Guaranty Company (CGC)) and Skybound Entertainment have teamed up to create the first full color custom certification labels for the Eisner Award-winning comic book series, The Walking Dead.  The new CGC labels, which will premiere at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) April 21-23 2017, will feature popular characters Rick, Michonne, Negan and a Walker.
 
The groundbreaking new designs’ bold graphics depict iconic TWD imagery, such as barbed wire, blood splatters, and Lucille herself, carried through the back, top labels and grade box.  Created with both the collector and true fan in mind, the labels will maintain CGC’s label Universal (blue) & Signature (yellow) colors for a uniform look.
 
“I’m excited about the customized labels we’ve created with CGC. These labels will give The Walking Dead fan community a new way to showcase their collections,” said The Walking Dead creator and co-founder of Skybound Entertainment, Robert Kirkman. 
 
The cost is an additional $5.00 per book over the regular CGC grading tier, and can also be selected with reholder services.  An exclusive Lucille label will also be available only with on-site grading or for books submitted to future Robert Kirkman signings.
