Superman: Death and Return - The Multiple Printings

A collection set aside to showcase the multiple printings for issues from the Death and Return of Superman saga. The printing is notated by a Roman numeral next to the issue number and price on the top left corner of each cover. While the cover art remains the same with each subsequent printing, the title header color scheme differs for each issue’s printing.

Some of the later printings (like the DC Universe UPC Logo variants) came in sealed multipacks packaged distributed to retailers like Toys 'R Us. The packaging and handling of these various multipacks along with the passing of time have made finding high grade copies challenging but fun.

What really makes this pursuit fun is the attitude at the time these books were released. It was all about the first printing, anything afterwards was not considered collectible or worth anything.
