I was really disappointed that I missed out getting something signed when Bin Furuya attended a show in the U.S. a few years ago so when an opportunity came up to get him, I pounced! I found a nice photo cover, made my window bag and sent it in. I had requested that Mr. Furuya sign in both English and Japanese and wrote "Thank you!" at the bottom of the request. He thought I had requested a "Thank you!" with the signature and before the facilitator could catch him, he had it written.
No big deal, just a fun story to go along with the book.
