Synopsis:Perfectly good houses sink into the ground after they're built. Reed suggests sabotage; a farmer blames "swamp demons." When Johnny investigates, he sees strange men with blue skin using an "electro gamma wave" ray gun to make the houses sink. The farmer, confronted, proves to be one of them as well, and he uses an "anti-matter electron" gun to make Johnny's flame go out!

But on their wedding day, a creature called The Reptile begins a reign of terror and murder, warning all to abandon the estate. Answering Chloe's telegram, The Torch and Toro investigate, and find that not is all as obvious as it seems. At one point, trapped in quicksand, Toro asks "What are we gonna do?" and The Torch replies "It's a cinch we can't write to our congressman!"
